DevOps is on people’s minds. The workflow process encourages constant communication between development and operations teams with the goal of eliminating hold-ups to software release and deployment. The practice aims to reduce mistakes and increase automation while making teams more agile, allowing them to recover faster from errors and outages. To gain a better idea of what DevOps adoption looks like in 2017, InformationWeek and Interop ITX recently conducted a survey of 300 technology professionals in applications roles.

The findings showed DevOps adoption is on the rise and that early adopters are starting to see cost savings from implementating the workflow practice. The data also helped explain why some development teams haven’t used DevOps and the types of barriers that are getting in the way of DevOps adoption. Check out our infographic, which highlights key findings from the research. Share the data with your colleagues and tell us on social media why you have or haven’t adopted DevOps.
